Traveling by Car and ParkingEML is located on the 5th floor in a 12 story federal government building at 201 Varick Street (entrance on West Houston Street.) This is on the lower west side of Manhattan about a third of a mile north of the Holland Tunnel. The building is bounded by Varick Street (one-way southbound) and Hudson Street (one-way northbound) and by Houston Street (one-way westbound) and King Street (one-way eastbound). Although both metered and unmetered parking spots exist on these and surrounding streets, they are generally taken during weekday daytime hours. The closest parking garage is a half block east of the building entrance on Houston Street between Varick St. and Ave. of the Americas (6th Ave.) Parking charges are about $12 for the first hour and $24 for the full day. Other parking garages can be found two blocks west along Greenwich Street.
