Radiological Emergency Management System (REMS) EML installed a monitoring platform on its roof in New York City, supporting a suite of instruments to provide vital information in the event of a release of radioactive or other hazardous materials due to a terrorist attack. This platform served as an operational test bed for newly developed radiation sensor systems that can be used for search and characterization by local first responders and to transition equipment from the developing and testing phase to operational field trials.
